Once Upon a Time

There were Two Brothers — one an attorney and the other not that stupid

Dear Brother:

The notion of Russian “collusion” being key to toppling President Trump becomes further implanted in the minds of most energized progressive (or, regressive) activists, as evidenced this time around by a troupe of protesters who showed up to the Department of Justice headquarters brandishing trademarked “Resist” placards, chanting “Lock Him Up,” and (as usual) hyperventilating about Putin. Trump/Putin theories are increasingly the top concern that plugged-in “Resistance” types bring up at the highly-charged town hall meetings that have received so much attention of late.

Pointing out these glaring flaws in the latest anti-Russia frenzy is immediately construed by cynics as “defending Trump” or “defending Sessions” when it most assuredly is not. It’s a defense of not getting enraptured by irrational hysterics to further short-term political aims — evidence of your political ineptitude.

People who have spent the past 3 months frothing at the mouth gradually come to realize that their initial furor was probably overblown, and that a more sober look at the actual facts at hand reveal that the anti-Trump chorus probably got ahead of itself…again.

Once More (not alone upon this moment in the space/time continuum) Progressives who sought to capitalize on the anti-Trump uproar end up looking extremely foolish. Again . . . .

Now and Forever Gone

In a near random universe there are still certain combinations
Picked out from all other possible ones
Which, when given some time and the just-right circumstances
Not too far from the earth or too close to the sun
They will dance and they’ll spin in the embrace of the trade winds
Playing havoc with the hearts and the upturned faces down below
Until the laws of curved spacetime, susponed without warning
Kick back in with a vengeance for the last act of my show

Thanks Walter Becker.  Surf And/or Die

Dear Millennials,

I think what we are witnessing here in America is a plague of Chicken Little Pox. No red spots — no fever — no vaccines, but a lot of regurgitation of bile and bullshit in the pseudo-intellectual styles of people who are under-employed. The only treatment attempted so far has been Play-Doh and puppies and coloring books. But the cure is to get more sleep, face reality, stop watching mainstream news entertainment shows (sort of perverted comedy masquerading as factual reporting; ie. SNL) and a good beer. Time has a way of distorting your current fears way out of their original proportions.

You’re Welcome

ORIGINAL POST from PurposeOnThePrairie

In less than 24 hours since Donald Trump has been named the President-elect of the greatest nation on this earth, it’s become apparent he’s being given far more credit than he’s due.  There’s anguished cries of, ‘How will my children grow up knowing not to discriminate?’ or, ‘How can I look my daughter in the eye and tell her she has purpose?’  Really?  Really, America?  You have given Donald Trump, a mere mortal man, far more credit than he deserves, especially considering the man hasn’t even taken office yet.  Trump does not have the power to mold our families, that is our flat-out our responsibility.

Your children will learn to love or hate, be respectful or disrespectful, wise or foolish, not by the character of the family in the White House, but by the family in their house.  May I submit to you that your sons and daughters will be far, far more influenced by their teachers, coaches, 4-H, FFA, Scouts or church group leaders than they will a man on TV.  I don’t feel my character was molded by the Bush, Clinton, or Obama families, but I did learn perseverance from my Dad, work ethic from my Mom, and to do my best (and then redo it) from my sister.  My college bible study leaders modeled to me how to seek God and my husband leads me in prayer.

Should those in the public spotlight conduct themselves in a honorable fashion with utmost integrity?  Absolutely.  However, it is not the responsibility of Miss America, the NFL, or the President, to set the example of moral conduct.  It is not the government’s responsibility to ensure American children have a good example.  It is our responsibility, as American citizens, to ensure that we lead our youth in showing what is right and good and honorable and true.  One good, God-fearing, America respecting football coach can do far more to shape the hearts and minds of teenage boys than Colin Kapernick.  If we want to make a difference, let’s stop worrying about Trump’s moral example and take an active role in our classrooms, churches, youth groups, sports team, 4-H and FFA.

Secondly, it is only a lie that one man in Washington can determine another person’s value or worth.  If you’re living and breathing, you have a purpose.  Case closed.  God fearfully and wonderfully made each one of us, and then continues to work in us for His good pleasure!  If I ever, ever seek another man or woman’s approval or affirmation to find purpose in my life, I will be sorely disappointed.  It does not matter if that individual is a supervisor, friend, husband, or the President himself, no one can provide me with purpose outside of the Lord.

Friends and fellow Americans, “Your success as a family… our success as a nation… depends not on what happens inside the White House, but on what happens inside your house.”  I pray these wise words of Barbara Bush should resonate with us, our nation has always and will always depend on the moral fiber of our families, nothing more, nothing less.  God bless, America, and America, bless God!

Legislating Goodness is a tough act.  Legislating Righteousness, however, seems to be a worthwhile endeavor for some politicians.  But where exactly is the motivator for these incredible monstrous stacks of legal babble?  It’s Money.  Not goodness.  Not even righteousness.

Let’s take a look at the Export-Import Bank.

Export-Import Bank

Once the brain-child (or brain-fart) of President Franklin D. Roosevelt enacted by Executive Order it has over the decades turned into a virtual corporate welfare bank system that assures products which cannot be sold on the open-market throughout the world are consumed by this official government agency.  Almost a no risk – no worry – we buy everything Kool-aid stand which should have the motto,” Give it to Mikey!  He’ll eat anything! “

And just who is it that is trying to get this thing re-authorized?  None other then your favorite (and mine) POTUS.  The Pretender of the United States.  And you thought he was on YOUR side – the struggling middle-class under-employed taxpayer who waddles up to the voting booth to happily exercise his right to be uninformed and vote.

There are two sides to every coin.  That is if you have any ‘change’ left after the G-Man gets his share.

Pepto-Bismol?  No.  How about a dose of Common Sense!!

July 18th – Justin Amash MoneyBomb – Restoring The American Dream

What Does It Mean To Have A Dream and Believe in America?

Can we honestly say that the system needs to be completely reworked and that we need to start all over again from the beginning?  Our Values are not worth building upon?  Maybe the way things are just need to be better communicated or re-inserted back into the public education system.  Maybe ‘change‘ for the sake of change is not the right answer.  Do we sit silently while millions of $$ Dollars go toward negative campaigning and not toward economic growth, rebuilding infrastructure and other job producing efforts?

Justin Amash and Tom Urich
Rep.  Justin Amash and Tom Urich meet in Lowell, Michigan

Is it not the right of every American to be able to hold personal values high and to preserve precious opinions without having to be compared or cast as a violent enemy terrorist by a whimpering competitor?  What makes it even harder to understand is that an established media can now be ‘purchased’ and once fair and honest news sources will paint, print and promote one side of an issue with the intention of wreaking absurd nonsense upon common sense thought.  Follow the money……………Yes…..It takes money.

On July 18, 2014, we are hosting a moneybomb. We have one chance to keep Justin Amash in office, and continue filling Congressional seats with people who will uphold their oath to the Constitution. By donating whatever we can to help his campaign, we will show the establishment just how strong the desire for liberty is.
